Arc Sound that knows what time it is

An AI agent reads the time of day at session start and shapes your entire journey — binaural offset, filter warmth, focus depth — before you hear the first note. Then it runs itself for up to 90 minutes.

Brainstates
δ 0.5 – 4 Hz
Delta
Deep sleep & recovery
θ 4 – 8 Hz
Theta
Drowsy, creative drift
α 8 – 13 Hz
Alpha
Relaxed awareness
β 13 – 30 Hz
Beta
Active focus & thinking
γ 30 – 100 Hz
Gamma
Peak concentration
Programs
Focus Arc
Rises through alpha into beta, holds deep focus, then winds back down to rest. The agent shifts the beta ceiling and filter warmth based on time of day — higher and brighter at 9 am, lower and darker past 10 pm.
90 min
Sleep Descent
Descends steadily from alpha through theta into deep delta. At night the agent deepens the delta entry and darkens the filter. A midday nap gets a lighter, faster descent.
60 min
Morning Rise
Lifts from delta through theta into alert alpha. Run it at 6 am and the agent opens the full brightness range. Run it in the evening and it stays below the threshold that disrupts melatonin.

How it works
01
Time-aware agent
At session start, Arc reads the hour and maps it to one of five time contexts — morning, midday, afternoon, evening, late night. Each combination of program × time has its own parameter profile. The agent sets them before the first note plays and tells you what it did.
02
Binaural beats
Two tones, one per ear. The brain perceives the difference as a third frequency — nudging it toward the target state. The binaural offset, carrier pitch and beat ceiling all move with the agent's read of the moment. Requires headphones.
03
Warmth modulation
A low-pass filter tracks the session arc. At night it stays darker — warm sub frequencies, no high brightness — to protect melatonin and circadian rhythm. In the morning it opens up. The filter frequency is one of the parameters the agent adjusts per session.
04
Melodic texture
Sustained pads shift mode as the brain state changes — Major for beta, Neutral for alpha, Minor for theta and delta. Felt more than heard. Notes bloom over 45-second envelopes; no event is deliberate enough to pull attention.
What the agent decides

Each time you press play, Arc logs what it adjusted and why.

07:30 · morning
Focus Arc
Morning sharpness — expanded beta range, brighter filter ceiling
13:15 · midday
Focus Arc
Midday drive — slight beta lift, filter stays open
21:00 · evening
Sleep Descent
Pre-sleep — pulled slightly deeper, filter warmer
23:45 · late night
Focus Arc
Late night — lower beta ceiling, deeper warmth to protect sleep
06:10 · morning
Morning Rise
Peak time — full rise, bright filter ceiling
19:30 · evening
Morning Rise
Evening recovery — gentler activation, stays below melatonin threshold
